SUSE Rancher Platform Engineer (Contract)

Location: UK (100% remote)
Duration: 6–8 Weeks

We are seeking a hands-on Platform Engineer for a high-impact, greenfield implementation of SUSE Rancher Prime. In this fully onsite contract, you will build an independent cluster management plane from scratch, implement advanced container security, and bridge on-premises infrastructure with cloud resources.

What You'll Do:

  • Deploy and configure greenfield SUSE Rancher Prime management control planes.
  • Implement NeuVector container security, including runtime scanning and policy controls.
  • Integrate an on-premises VMware vSphere footprint with an enterprise Azure landing zone.
  • Establish native Kubernetes cluster monitoring, logging, and observability stacks.
  • Author comprehensive technical runbooks and disaster recovery procedures.

What You Need:

  • Deep, proven experience in SUSE Rancher Prime and Kubernetes cluster lifecycle management.
  • Direct hands-on configuration experience with NeuVector.
  • Strong background in VMware vSphere virtualization and Azure infrastructure.
  • Expertise in Kubernetes networking, storage classes, and air-gapped security environments.
