Great Salary Plus Benefits

Sustainability & ESG Executive job in Croydon within the travel industry, offering a great salary plus benefits. This is a hands-on ESG role covering carbon reporting, sustainability strategy and stakeholder engagement across a well-established, purpose-driven travel business.

Do you?

  • Enjoy turning data into action — building a carbon calculation one day and briefing senior stakeholders the next?
  • Confident owning ESG reporting and sustainability strategy, from data collection through to board-level output?
  • Thrive working across departments — Product, Marketing, Operations, and supply chain — without needing formal authority to get things done?
  • Someone who takes ownership and initiative, but knows when to bring in your manager on judgement calls?

Our Customer

Our client is a well-established name in the travel industry, known for the quality of the holidays they design and the standard of service they deliver. Sustainability and responsible travel are genuine priorities for them — they see it as one of the strongest levers they have for protecting the destinations they operate in and building long-term trust with their customers.

They are now seeking a Sustainability & ESG Executive to take ownership of day-to-day ESG reporting and carbon accounting, and to play a key role in shaping how the business delivers its sustainability strategy for the long term.

The Role

In this role, you will be the operational engine of the sustainability strategy, turning data and reporting into clear action across the business.

  • Own and maintain the ESG dashboard, keeping carbon emissions data accurate and audit-ready
  • Lead the annual collation and submission of ESG data to meet reporting deadlines
  • Calculate and report Scope 1 and 2 emissions, laying the groundwork for Scope 3
  • Track progress against sustainability KPIs, flagging risks and opportunities
  • Coordinate and help chair quarterly sustainability governance meetings
  • Lead production of the annual Impact Report, drawing on input from across the business
  • Produce board-ready reporting packs and updates for senior stakeholders
  • Work with suppliers to embed sustainable practice and improve emissions data
  • Head up the internal sustainability volunteer team, coordinating activity and campaigns
  • Monitor emerging ESG regulation and frameworks relevant to travel, advising on implications

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
