Sol Environment Ltd is an environmental and sustainability consultancy established in 2010 that provides a range of consulting services across the industrial, waste, commercial and residential development sectors. We provide technical evaluation, regulatory assessment and support advice across a diverse client base and pride ourselves on providing a tailored range of high value consulting services across a broad spectrum of sectors.
The Role
The role, based in Bristol, provides an opportunity to develop as a Sustainability Consultant, across a wide range of sectors.
The successful candidate will support the sustainability team in all aspects of carbon and sustainability consultancy services, manage their own projects, manage client relationships, and help the business develop to offer new services.

- WLC/LCA and LCC Assessments (Oneclick software)
- BREEAM Assessments
- Energy, Daylight and Thermal Comfort Assessments
Requirements
The candidate/s is/are required to be a motivated graduate/s that hold the relevant understanding of building sustainability, construction and performance. The ability to use CAD and Carbon & Energy Modelling Software is considered a bonus. Experience of completing BREEAM Assessments and supporting documentation for BREEAM Assessments would be highly advantageous.
Qualification and Skills Required
- Degree level qualification (or equivalent) in a related discipline such as construction, sustainability, design & engineering in buildings;
- An understanding of the BREEAM sustainability assessment methodology;
- A basic understanding of RICS Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCA) Standard 2nd Edition;
- An understanding of building design, including building systems and services;
- A full, clean, UK driving licence;
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills, and experience using Microsoft Office packages including Word and Excel;
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider team, with an emphasis on quality;
- A broad understanding of the legislative environment surrounding energy and carbon; and
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

All training and professional development is funded by the company. The role is full time and based in our Bristol office, but there are opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
Salary
up to £28,000 depending on candidate
