Sustainability Data & Carbon Analyst

We are looking for a Sustainability Data & Carbon Analyst to manage the collection, validation and analysis of environmental and carbon data to provide a reliable evidence base for decision making. Support accurate carbon footprint, ESG and sustainability reporting, including progress against decarbonisation targets. Use insight from data to identify emissions trends, key hotspots and opportunities to reduce carbon across homes, assets and operations.

About Us

We are a social housing landlord and one of the largest housing providers in the region with over 22,000 social and affordable homes, mainly in the Bradford district. We employ a talented workforce of nearly 1,000 people.

In 2024 we’ve launched our five-year Corporate Strategy, which runs to 2029. Our purpose is to provide high quality homes, services, and support to our customers, so we’ve worked with colleagues and customers to find out what’s important to them. Our customers sit at the heart of what we do, and our colleagues are the people who’ll help us achieve our vision, which is to create the best customer experience to improve everyday lives.

What You’ll Be Doing in the Role

Functional Responsibilities and Activities

  • Collect, validate and maintain environmental, energy and carbon data across homes, assets and operations.
  • Support the annual calculation and update of the organisation’s carbon footprint, including Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions.
  • Maintain and improve carbon datasets, reporting tools and data quality processes.
  • Analyse emissions trends, identify key hotspots and highlight opportunities for carbon reduction.
  • Track the impact of sustainability, retrofit and energy efficiency projects, providing clear reporting on outcomes and benefits.
  • Support the development of evidence-based business cases for decarbonisation and energy efficiency initiatives.

Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration

  • Work with internal teams, including assets, finance, procurement and operations, to improve data accuracy and support delivery of carbon reduction activity.
  • Translate data and insight into clear information for colleagues, managers and decision makers.
  • Collaborate with external partners, consultants and suppliers to obtain data, validate information and support sustainability initiatives.
  • Support internal awareness and behaviour change activity by providing clear evidence, insight and practical information.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
