About OMNES

OMNES is a London-based womenswear brand built around the belief that great design and a more responsible approach to fashion should go hand in hand.

As the business grows, we are looking for an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead the next stage of our sustainability strategy and ensure our ambitions are translated into credible, measurable action across product, sourcing, operations, and communications.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially-minded Sustainability Manager to take ownership of sustainability across OMNES.

This is a hands-on role working closely with our Design, Buying, Production, Marketing, and Operations teams, as well as our suppliers and external partners.

You will be responsible for developing and implementing our sustainability strategy, improving the environmental and social impact of our products and supply chain, maintaining robust standards and certifications, and ensuring that the claims we make to our customers are accurate, substantiated, and compliant.

Sustainability at OMNES should be embedded into how we make product and commercial decisions rather than treated as a separate workstream. We are looking for someone who can bring strong technical knowledge while remaining pragmatic about the realities of operating and growing a fashion business.

Key Responsibilities

Sustainability Strategy

  • Own and develop OMNES’ sustainability strategy, priorities, and roadmap.
  • Establish clear, measurable targets and track progress against them.
  • Translate sustainability objectives into practical actions across the business.
  • Identify the areas where OMNES can make the greatest measurable environmental and social impact.
  • Keep the leadership team informed of progress, risks, regulatory developments, and emerging priorities.
  • Ensure our sustainability strategy evolves appropriately as the business grows.

Product & Materials

  • Work closely with Design, Buying, and Production to improve the environmental impact of our collections.
  • Develop and maintain clear preferred-material and responsible-sourcing standards.
  • Assess materials, processes, and suppliers based on environmental impact, traceability, certification, and commercial viability.
  • Review and validate recycled, certified, and other sustainability-related material claims.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation and certification is obtained and maintained to substantiate product claims.
  • Help teams balance sustainability objectives with quality, design, margin, and scalability.
  • Identify new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes that could improve our environmental impact.

Supply Chain & Responsible Sourcing

  • Work directly with suppliers to improve transparency, traceability, and environmental and social performance.
  • Maintain visibility of our supplier and manufacturing base.
  • Develop and manage supplier sustainability requirements, policies, and standards.
  • Oversee social and environmental compliance, audits, and corrective-action processes where appropriate.
  • Identify supply-chain risks and work with internal teams and suppliers to address them.
  • Support improvements in areas including waste, water, energy, chemicals, packaging, and manufacturing processes.
  • Work collaboratively with suppliers to drive meaningful improvements rather than sustainability becoming purely a compliance exercise.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Work collaboratively with Design, Buying, Production, Marketing, Ecommerce, Retail, and Operations.
  • Develop guidance and training so teams understand their responsibilities.

  • Be confident challenging decisions where necessary while finding commercially workable solutions.

You Will Ideally Have

  • 6+ years’ experience in sustainability, ESG, responsible sourcing, or a related field, with a significant proportion of this experience within fashion, apparel, or consumer goods.

  • Demonstrable experience working directly with suppliers, factories, and certification bodies.
  • Strong understanding of recycled and certified materials, traceability, and chain-of-custody requirements.
  • Good working knowledge of UK and EU sustainability legislation, environmental claims, and greenwashing regulation.
  • Experience managing or playing a significant role in B Corp certification or recertification would be highly advantageous.
  • Experience developing sustainability strategies, targets, and measurable KPIs.
  • Understanding of carbon accounting, environmental impact measurement, and sustainability reporting.
  • Experience reviewing and substantiating sustainability and product claims.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence interrogating supplier, certification, and environmental data.
  • The confidence and credibility to advise and challenge senior stakeholders when required.
  • A commercial mindset and an understanding that sustainability decisions need to work alongside product, margin, quality, and growth objectives.
  • The ability to operate independently, take ownership, and build processes in a growing and fast-moving business.

What Success Looks Like

  • A clear and measurable sustainability roadmap.
  • Robust evidence supporting the sustainability claims we make.
  • Greater visibility and traceability throughout our supply chain.
  • Clear material and supplier standards embedded within product development.
  • Strong systems for B Corp, certification, and regulatory compliance.
  • Reliable sustainability data and reporting.
  • Sustainability embedded into commercial and product decision-making across the company.
  • A strategy that becomes more ambitious as OMNES grows while remaining credible, practical, and commercially realistic.
