Role Overview:

The Sustainability Manager will support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Company's environmental and sustainability strategy. Reporting to the Head of Environmental & Sustainability, the role will work collaboratively across the business and with clients to promote sustainable practices, support environmental objectives, and contribute to the successful delivery of sustainable construction projects. A strong understanding of the construction industry is essential to provide practical, value-adding advice and support.

  • Lead BREEAM and WELL certification across fit-out projects, acting as BREEAM AP and/or WELL AP.
  • Advise clients on sustainability strategies aligned with Net Zero and ESG goals.
  • Embed sustainability throughout project delivery, from concept to completion, ensuring certification and regulatory compliance.
  • Work with subcontractors and suppliers to communicate sustainability requirements and improve procurement, materials, waste and site practices.
  • Support tender submissions and confidently present environmental credentials and project sustainability plans.
  • Measure and reduce embodied and operational carbon, promoting circular economy, resource efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, design teams and supply chain partners.
  • Develop sustainability action plans, support ESG reporting and ensure accurate data collection.
  • Conduct site inspections to monitor waste management, indoor air quality and other sustainability measures.
  • Manage sustainability data and digital tools, including Procore and Qflow, supporting project teams and identifying improvement opportunities.
  • Support delivery of the company’s internal ESG strategy and 3 Layers framework.
  • Keep up to date with sustainability legislation, industry best practice, innovation and emerging standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven sustainability experience within the construction or fit-out sector.
  • BREEAM AP and/or WELL AP accreditation with experience delivering certified projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Net Zero Carbon strategies and ESG principles in the built environment.
  • Knowledge of LEED, SKA, NABERS UK or other sustainability standards is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with confidence engaging clients and project teams.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
