Job Purpose

We are hiring an experienced Sustainability Manager to lead and implement Classic Fine Foods' sustainability strategy across the business.

We have B Corp and Ecovadis in place, which will be managed and developed by the right candidate. This role is to ensure ESG objectives are embedded throughout operations, supply chain, and employee engagement programs. The Sustainability Manager will drive initiatives that support the company to:

This role reports to the Quality Department, with ad-hoc duties to support our food safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

B Corp and Ecovadis Certification

  • Work cross-functionally to embed B Corp principles into daily operations and business decision-making.
  • Lead and coordinate B Corp certification and recertification processes.
  • Deliver continuous improvement plans for B Corp and Ecovadis.
  • Monitor compliance with B Corp standards and reporting requirements.
  • Benchmark company performance against industry best practice and customer expectations.

Sustainability & ESG

  • Track sustainability KPIs and performance metrics.

Climate & Environmental Management

  • Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions accounting
  • Initiatives to reduce carbon footprint and waste reduction.

Responsible Supply Chain Management

  • Assess environmental and social risks within the supply chain.
  • Promote sustainable products and sourcing transparency.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Collaborate interdepartmentally, engaging employees, suppliers, customers, industry bodies, and community partners on sustainability initiatives.

Compliance & Reporting

  • Comply with legislation and sustainability standards, to include ESG and EPR.

Quality & Compliance Support

  • Maintain supplier compliance and sustainability documentation.
  • Support customer, supplier, and regulatory compliance requests.
  • Manage document control.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across quality and sustainability programs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years' experience in sustainability and/or ESG.
  • Experience in food, hospitality, FMCG, distribution, or supply chain sectors preferred.
  • Strong understanding of carbon accounting, ESG reporting, and sustainable procurement.
  • Experience managing sustainability projects and stakeholder engagement initiatives.
