Operational Delivery Project Manager - DEX Sustainability
Contract: 6 Months (with potential extension)
Location: London (2 days per week at the office)
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced Operational Delivery Project Manager to lead a high-profile DEX Sustainability initiative through implementation, operational readiness, stabilisation, and transition into business-as-usual support.
This is an exciting opportunity for a delivery-focused project professional with a strong background in technology project delivery, service management, and operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in driving value realisation while ensuring service stability, risk reduction, and successful operational handover.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the DEX Sustainability programme from design through delivery, implementation, and value realisation.
- Drive operational readiness, service transition, deployment, and support handover activities.
- Manage service performance, operational stability, incident management, risk mitigation, and OPEX considerations.
- Define, manage, and monitor Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and measurable operational outcomes.
- Ensure effective governance, assurance, and delivery controls throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify delivery risks, root causes, process inefficiencies, and systemic operational issues.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams through delivery, testing, deployment, stabilisation, and BAU transition.
- Oversee release management, change control, environment management, and resilience planning.
- Build strong relationships with executive stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams.
- Provide clear and concise communication of technical and operational risks, issues, and progress updates.

Essential Skills & Experience:
- PMP, PRINCE2, Agile certification, or equivalent project management qualification.
- Strong experience delivering technology projects using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects into production environments.
- Demonstrable experience in operational readiness, service transition, and stabilisation activities.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-based solutions, SaaS platforms, and digital technologies.
- Experience with governance frameworks, assurance processes, and vendor management.
- Expertise in planning, budgeting, dependency management, and risk management.
- Strong executive stakeholder management and financial forecasting capabilities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Experience across digital, data, and technology delivery programmes.

Desirable Experience:
- Degree qualification or equivalent industry experience.
- 10+ years of IT industry experience, including leadership of complex projects valued up to $5M.
- Experience within sustainability, data, reporting, or regulatory programmes.
- Global delivery experience across multiple regions and stakeholder groups.
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder engagement, and change leadership skills.
- Comfortable operating in complex environments with evolving priorities and ambiguity.
