The new Sustainability Business Integration team
The new Sustainability Business Integration team is responsible for national implementation of Sustainability strategies, adherence to national and international policies and processes, and compliance of sustainability regulation either directly within the team, or through relevant stakeholders/departments.
Your New Role
- Support the Sustainability Business Integration Manager, International Central Team, and GB/IE markets with mandatory sustainability reporting and compliance requirements.
- Monitor and assess sustainability regulatory developments, providing insight and guidance on their impact across the business.
- Coordinate key stakeholders and support effective communication of sustainability initiatives, standards, and policies.
- Manage sustainability-related supplier engagement, providing guidance and instructions to ensure adherence to Aldi standards and requirements.
- Utilise Aldi product and supplier approval systems to maintain compliance and support sustainable business practices.
- Work closely with the Sustainability Systems Change team to align activities, avoid duplication of effort, and ensure clear communication across projects.
- Support the successful transition of systems change projects into business-as-usual processes and administration.
- Drive the integration of sustainability across multiple business functions, embedding sustainable practices into day-to-day operations.
- Provide expert advice on sustainability regulations, recommending practical implementation approaches and driving compliance across the business.
- Operate autonomously, contributing to strategy development and advising stakeholders and management on sustainability matters.
- Effectively prioritise and manage multiple projects and requests in a fast-paced environment.
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging sustainability legislation, regulations, and industry trends.
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to implement regulatory requirements and sustainability initiatives.
- Apply knowledge and experience across a variety of sustainability topics, adapting to changing business priorities and requirements.

About You
- Experience of working within Sustainability
- Experience with certification schemes, evidence of schemes (certificates) and license fee payments
- Strong and confident communicator.
- Autonomous worker
- Experience with stakeholder management across multiple disciplines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong attention to detail
- A strong level of resilience and the ability to operate under pressure
Desirable:
- Experience in the areas of animal welfare
- Experience in animal welfare and reporting, antibiotics, welfare certification audits and Red Tractor
- Animal welfare, particularly policies, industry developments, supplier data and KPIs
- Working knowledge of EUDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD, CSDDD, EMPCO, UK CMA Green Claims Code, UK Sustainability reporting standards and assurance, UK Modern Slavery Act, UK government reformulation targets, CFD, ISO 50001, SECR, ESOS and CCF

- Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with the opportunity of 2 days a week remote working
