Are you ready to create a brighter future together?

At Zurich our brand purpose is exactly that, to create a brighter future together for our customers, our partners, employees and the planet. It’s a promise that for our customers we will put their needs at the heart of everything we do, for our employees lets grow and develop together, for our partners – let's collaborate together to create mutual value and for the planet lets drive positive impact by integrating our sustainability work into how we do business.

Our Sustainable Energy Graduate Programme will be at the heart of making a difference to our global commercial customers in the Energy sector as we support and encourage their sustainable energy transition plans, whilst helping them to manage their risks and handling their claims.

What can I look forward to?

We want you to achieve your full potential and that’s why our graduate programme is designed to build on your university studies. During the programme, you will rotate between three teams.

Energy underwriting

During your underwriting rotation, you'll gain comprehensive knowledge of risk assessment and management with a focus on sustainability. You will learn to evaluate insurance applications, determine terms, and set premium rates based on detailed analysis. This role involves close collaboration with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders.

Claims

An opportunity to work with the Zurich Claims team will allow you to play a crucial role in managing and resolving insurance claims with a focus on sustainability. You'll work closely with clients, assess damages, and determine appropriate settlements. You'll also collaborate with various departments to integrate solutions into the claims process, ensuring that our commitment to sustainability is reflected in every aspect of our operation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
