Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering high-quality sustainable research and insights across company, sector, thematic, and market-level analysis, including maintaining ESG scoring models and frameworks
  • Supporting investment teams in integrating sustainability considerations into investment processes and portfolio decisions, including contributing to portfolio-level reviews
  • Monitoring sustainability-related developments, regulatory requirements (e.g., Principal Adverse Impacts), and supporting issuer engagement activities
  • Contributing to enhancements of research methodologies, data quality, reporting, and cross-team workflows
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders, including supporting company dialogues, industry collaboration, and sustainability communications
  • Collaborating across global stewardship functions to share expertise and improve tools, processes, and best practices
  • Supporting client-facing activities by delivering timely, high-quality sustainability insights and reporting aligned with client needs
  • Ensuring all activities align with firm conduct principles and internal policies

What you can bring

  • Experience delivering a mix of recurring sustainable research activities and project-based work, such as issuer-specific and thematic analysis, framework development, and enhancements to sustainable investment processes.
  • Experience managing end-to-end research workflows – from gathering and analyzing sustainability data, to synthesizing findings and communicating insights effectively to investment teams.
  • Experience contributing to cross-functional initiatives, collaborating with investment teams, stewardship functions, product specialists, and other stakeholders across the firm.
  • Experience maintaining and improving sustainability-related tools, models, datasets, and documentation that support investment and reporting requirements.
  • Experience supporting a range of sustainable engagements and interactions with external stakeholders, including corporates, investors, and industry groups.
  • Experience operating within broader stewardship processes, including making well-supported recommendations and determining when to escalate issues versus progressing work independently.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgement in research, engagement, and project contexts, including the ability to make good recommendations, and to determine when to escalate issues and when to progress work independently.
  • Ability to deliver recurring research and stewardship activities to a high standard of quality and within expected timelines.
  • Knowledge of sustainability analysis and integration, including how sustainability factors can influence investment research and portfolio considerations across asset classes.
  • Knowledge of sustainability-related data providers, analytical tools, and ratings methodologies, and the strengths and limitations of different data sources.
  • Good understanding of investment management processes and how sustainability insights contribute to portfolio decision making, portfolio reviews, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of stewardship and engagement practices, including company dialogues and collaborative engagement initiatives.
  • Understanding of the sustainable research operational environment – including the tools, systems, documentation, and data governance processes that support the team’s ongoing research and reporting activities.
  • Awareness of regulatory and industry developments relevant to sustainable investing.
  • Demonstrate comfort operating in ambiguity and exercising sound judgment and decision-making in the absence of complete information.
  • Desire to work collaboratively with a global team.
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with a range of ESG data and ratings tools.
  • The ability to work autonomously with a hands-on approach.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
