Paint Sprayer - Aston Martin
Join the team behind one of the world's most iconic luxury automotive brands. Aston Martin is seeking skilled and passionate Paint Sprayers to join our Paint Shop, where craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality are at the heart of everything we do.
As a Paint Sprayer, you will play a key role in delivering vehicle bodies painted to the exceptional standards and specifications required across our production operations. Working within a highly skilled team and reporting to the Group Leader, you will be responsible for inspecting, preparing, and spray-painting vehicles throughout various stages of the paint process, including Etch Primer, Primer, Base Coat, and Clear Coat applications.
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting vehicle bodies to identify and address any defects before painting, preparing vehicles for the spray process through adhesion promotion, degreasing, and tacking off, and applying paint finishes to Aston Martin's exacting quality standards. You will ensure the correct application of base and clear coats, remove contaminants between paint stages, and maintain spray equipment, booths, hoods, and airlines to support efficient production. The role also requires close collaboration with Group Leaders, Lead Technicians, and service partners to resolve issues that may impact productivity or quality. Flexibility to support other areas of the paint process, including preparation and polishing activities, may be required based on business needs.

To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience within an automotive paint spraying or refinishing environment and hold a recognized formal qualification relevant to vehicle body repair, paint operations, or refinishing. You will possess excellent hand-eye coordination, strong attention to detail, and normal color vision, enabling you to achieve the high-quality finish expected on every Aston Martin vehicle. Experience working in paint shop preparation areas, spray booths, and vehicle repair environments is essential.
Candidates holding recognized industry qualifications such as a BTEC Certificate or Diploma in Vehicle Technology, City & Guilds qualifications in Vehicle Systems, Body and Paint Maintenance, or Vehicle Body and Paint Operations, or IMI awards in Vehicle Body and Paint Operations (Refinishing) will be particularly advantageous.
