Footballco is a global football media and culture business built to understand and serve the modern fan. Through a multi-brand, multi-platform portfolio, we combine trusted journalism, creator-led entertainment, women’s football, fan conversation, gaming, lifestyle and athlete storytelling to reach audiences across every aspect of football culture. That understanding also powers our work with brands and rights holders, spanning insight-led strategy, original and branded content, creative production, talent and creator partnerships, community experiences, event activations, distribution, targeted media solutions and merch. By understanding fans through their interests, behaviours and emotional needs, not simply their demographics, Footballco helps its partners earn attention, participate credibly in football culture and build deeper, longer-lasting relationships with fans.

About the role

We're looking for an entrepreneurial, commercial, creative, and content leader to launch and lead FC Studios, a new, high-growth business unit that expands Footballco beyond traditional football media revenue and anchored in North America by our recent acquisition of StartingEleven.

This is an opportunity to build a global services operation within a global media business, creating a new commercial offering that positions Footballco as the partner of choice across sport, culture and entertainment. You'll be responsible for defining the strategy, building the commercial proposition, establishing the operating model and leading a team capable of delivering multi-million-dollar partnerships and long-term growth.

As well as multi platform creative services you will lead the way in pioneering the macro market shift from campaign to content that all brands crave. Building communities, scaling audiences, and a nimble approach is our super power. Traditional media, rightsholders and teams all chase relevance beyond match day, audience growth and a nimble approach to how they show up in different cultural moments and push through the ever growing cultural doorways that pop up all over the world.

Working closely with the executive leadership team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping Footballco's next phase of growth, turning strategic ambitions into commercial reality. This role carries significant autonomy, full commercial accountability, and the opportunity to influence the future direction of the business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
