Senior Vice President (SVP), Platform Delivery

Acting as a full-stack delivery partner, Submer provides advisory, design, build, and IT integration through a single point of accountability, working with a deep ecosystem of technology specialists. This end-to-end approach accelerates time-to-AI while reducing operational cost, complexity, and environmental impact.

What impact you will have

The Senior Vice President of Platform Delivery is responsible for leading the strategy, execution, and operational excellence of the organization's technology platforms and delivery functions. This executive leader oversees cross-functional teams responsible for platform engineering, software delivery, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, release management, and technical operations, ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable solutions that support business growth and innovation.

The SVP of Platform Delivery partners closely with Product, Engineering, Security, Operations, and Business stakeholders to align technology initiatives with strategic objectives while driving efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction.

What you’ll do

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute the enterprise platform delivery strategy aligned with business goals.
  • Establish and drive technology roadmaps that support scalability, reliability, and innovation.
  • Partner with executive leadership to prioritize investments and technology initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of operational excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation.

Platform Delivery & Operations

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of technology platforms, applications, and infrastructure services.
  • Lead large-scale platform transformation, modernization, and cloud migration initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery predictability, quality, performance, and adherence to timelines and budgets.
  • Implement best practices for Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, and platform engineering.

Organizational Leadership

  • Lead and develop high-performing teams across engineering, platform operations, and delivery management.
  • Build organizational capabilities through talent acquisition, succession planning, and leadership development.
  • Establish performance metrics and accountability frameworks.

Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as a key advisor to executive leadership regarding technology delivery and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to ensure platform capabilities meet business needs.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and strategic technology partners.

Governance, Risk & Compliance

  • Ensure platform security, availability, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
  • Establish governance frameworks for technology delivery and operational risk management.
  • Oversee disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident management processes.

Financial Management

  • Manage multimillion-dollar operating and capital budgets.
  • Drive cost optimization and resource allocation strategies.
  • Evaluate and negotiate vendor partnerships and technology investments.

What you’ll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in technology delivery, engineering, or platform operations.
  • 8+ years in senior executive leadership roles managing large-scale global teams.
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise platforms and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Deep expertise in cloud technologies, platform engineering, DevOps, Agile methodologies, and software delivery.
  • Experience managing complex technology portfolios and enterprise-scale programs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience leading SaaS, cloud-native, or enterprise software organizations.
  • Relevant certifications such as AWS, Azure, SAFe, PMP, ITIL, or similar.
  • Experience supporting high-growth technology environments.
