SVP, Product

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SVP, Product based in United Kingdom.

This is the most senior product leadership role in the organization, reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a member of the executive team. You will define the product vision and strategy across the entire portfolio, from core platform and marketplace experiences to internal systems, data, and AI. A central mandate will be building an AI-native product organization, with responsibility for turning advanced AI capabilities into measurable business outcomes. You will partner closely with Engineering, Design, Finance, Marketing, New Businesses, Professional Services, and Customer leadership. The role combines strategic portfolio ownership with hands-on product leadership, experimentation, and organizational design. You will also shape the product talent strategy, hiring standards, operating model, and culture needed to scale product impact globally.

Accountabilities

  • Own the overall AI product strategy, determining where agents and models should be applied across the marketplace, talent and client experiences, internal systems, and commercial products.
  • Make strategic decisions about AI investments, including build-versus-buy choices for models and tooling, as well as packaging and pricing for AI-enabled products.
  • Establish measurable AI quality standards through evaluations, acceptance criteria, feedback loops, and review processes, while partnering closely with Engineering on the underlying platform.
  • Transform Product workflows through AI-assisted discovery, research, prototyping, analysis, and decision-making, helping product managers increase both output and judgment.
  • Own the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for the full product portfolio, including decisions about new investments, product sunsets, and allocation of resources across growth, platform, and operational priorities.
  • Establish the product operating model, planning cadence, prioritization frameworks, and performance metrics needed to support evidence-based product decisions.
  • Lead the product integration of acquisitions and new products while maintaining a strong customer perspective across both talent and client experiences.
  • Define how product teams operate in an increasingly multidisciplinary environment where product, engineering, design, and AI capabilities increasingly overlap.
  • Own product organization design, workforce planning, resourcing, headcount strategy, and time-sensitive hiring commitments.
  • Set and maintain a high hiring bar for the Product organization, personally engaging in recruiting and making decisions that strengthen the leadership and execution capabilities of the team.
  • Review product work directly, coach product leaders and managers, establish clear performance expectations, and continuously raise the organizational standard.
  • Develop strong relationships with the CEO, executive team, direct reports, and cross-functional leaders while building a deep understanding of the platform, marketplace dynamics, internal systems, and AI capabilities.
  • Develop and execute a product strategy within the first months of joining, including measurable AI-enabled capabilities in production and a clear allocation of product investment.
  • Demonstrate measurable business impact from AI-enabled products across core product surfaces and establish a clear connection between product investment and business results.
  • Build and maintain an exceptional product leadership team and create an environment where product professionals can deliver high-impact work at scale.
  • Drive the long-term evolution of Product into a high-leverage, trusted organizational function with AI embedded throughout the portfolio and operating model.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Experience with agile development methodologies and globally distributed teams.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment with competing priorities, complex challenges, and a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong individual contributor capabilities, with a willingness to remain hands-on in product strategy, research, analysis, experimentation, and execution rather than functioning solely as a delegating executive.
  • Professional communication and documentation must be conducted in English.
