Swansea Asylum Seekers Support
Swansea Asylum Seekers Support is a well-loved grass-roots charity. They are volunteer-led, run and managed by their members, who include asylum seekers, refugees and other local people.
SASS give a warm welcome to people seeking sanctuary in Swansea through their twice-weekly drop-ins, and offer practical support, educational and recreational opportunities.
SASS are recruiting for the 2 posts below and candidates are welcome to apply for both roles. They have set out their expectations for the essential skills and experience they would like applicants to have in each Job description, but are keen to hear from all sections of the community. If you don’t quite meet all of their requirements but have other skills and experience relevant to the role, they would still love to hear from you.

ESOL Project Coordinator
Hours of work: 2.5 days per week (17.5 hours/week) (includes evening/weekend hours)
Fixed Term: 12 months, with 3 months’ probation. Renewable subject to funding.
Salary: £25,410 per annum pro rata (£12,705 actual) (plus 3% pension contribution)
SASS is looking for an enthusiastic person with skills in ESOL (English as a Second/Other Language) and in project coordinating, to join their team.

Activities Coordinator
SASS is looking for an enthusiastic person to join their team, someone who has skills in organising, delivering and co-ordinating varied activities for asylum seekers and refugees.

Closing date for both roles: 5pm, 30th October 2026.
Interviews will be held in the week commencing 9th November 2026.
Start work on 23rd November 2026 or as soon as possible after that.
