Job Description

Sweeper Driver up to 7.5ton

Shifts: AM 6am - 2pm and PM 2pm - 10pm

Both shifts are available. Please state your preference on application.

We are recruiting for Street Cleansing Sweeper - Driver up to 7.5ton working on behalf of the Borough Council.

The posts are for driver operatives for up to 7.5ton (Cat C1) vehicles and/or mechanical sweepers.

Requirements

For these posts you will need to hold:

  • A full valid manual UK driving licence
  • The ability to drive a range of vehicles category C1 (up to 7.5 ton) as a minimum
  • A valid CPC licence

Your duties will include sweeping and removal of controlled waste within the Borough (including roads, pavements, and shopping areas) using a range of tools and equipment.

You will be required to:

  • Work alone or as part of a team
  • Transfer waste to the collection vehicle for transport to a waste processing facility
  • Be on your feet all day and work in all weather conditions
  • Maintain a courteous and efficient collection service to members of the public and project a positive and professional image of Enfield Council always
  • Ensure that any potential danger to yourself, other employees, or the public is minimized
  • Have basic literacy and numeracy skills to enable you to complete basic associated paperwork and have the ability to read maps and operate mobile technology.
