Summary

We are looking to recruit a swim teacher to join our experienced team, responsible for preparing and delivering engaging swimming sessions to local primary school children from Years 3 to 6.

Responsibilities

We are looking to recruit a swim teacher to join our experienced team, responsible for preparing and delivering engaging swimming sessions to local primary school children from Years 3 to 6. The successful candidate must:

  • Have a Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification (e.g., SEQ Level 2 Teaching Swimming, STA Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification or equivalent) and preferably National Rescue Award for Swimming teachers and coaches (NRASTC) or full lifeguard certificate.
  • Have strong previous experience teaching swimming
  • Be up to date on current teaching techniques and health and safety requirements.
  • Be approachable, patient and reliable with the ability to encourage and motivate children of different swimming abilities.

Sessions will take place in our first-class 25-metre pool facility with camera technology. You will be reporting to the Director of Bursaries, Partnerships and Community Link.

Hours are 1.05 pm to 3.20 pm per week on Mondays and/or 1.15 pm to 3.15 pm per week on Fridays during term time only.
