Swimming Teacher Leisure Solutions Community Trust – Part Time Position


Location

Barton, Leys and Ferry Leisure Centres, Oxford

Working Hours

Part-time, day hours (Monday to Friday)

Salary

Up to £22.50 per hour plus excellent benefits


About the Role

At Serco, we are recruiting on behalf of Leisure Solutions Community Trust, a provider of safe, clean, and welcoming leisure facilities that encourage active and healthy lifestyles. Our mission is to support healthier, happier lives for the local community through:

We seek an enthusiastic, customer-focused professional to join our team as a Swimming Teacher.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, fun, and progressive swimming lessons following the Swim England learn-to-swim framework
  • Provide a supportive, inclusive environment for learners of all ages and backgrounds
  • Foster long-term swimming skills and confidence while encouraging participation in leisure activities
  • Mentor and develop commitment to personal growth, with flexible teaching hours tailored to your lifestyle
  • Work across multiple leisure centres in Oxford

Requirements

Essential Qualifications & Skills

  • A strong customer service mindset
  • Experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds
  • A STA Award/Certificate in Teaching Swimming or Swim England (formally ASA) Level 2

Preferred (but not mandatory) Qualifications

  • Valid qualifications in:
    • RLSS UK NPLQ or RLSS UK NRASTC
    • STA Safety Award for Teachers (Training for these certificates available for free with Leisure Solutions)
