What will you be doing?

As a Social Work Assistant, you will be part of a well-established and experienced Social Work team delivering essential out of hours support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing practical support and intervention to individuals, families, and vulnerable groups to promote their immediate safety and wellbeing.
  • Contributing to partnership working with key agencies including Police Scotland, Health services, and other relevant partners.
  • Supporting clear communication and accurate information sharing between ESWS and daytime Social Work teams.
  • Maintaining high quality case notes and ensuring all actions are recorded in line with service procedures.
  • Prioritising workload effectively in a fast paced environment and supporting colleagues during periods of high service demand.
  • This role requires a compassionate, calm and organised approach, with the ability to respond appropriately to a wide range of situations.

About You

  • Show flexibility, resilience and a willingness to work within a shift pattern that includes evenings, weekends and public holidays.
  • Hold a full UK driving licence.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
