Actuary Opportunity in Insurance
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified actuary to join a highly regarded insurance business in a broad and commercially focused role spanning Capital, Reserving, and Pricing.
Working as part of a collaborative actuarial team, you will partner closely with stakeholders across Underwriting, Claims, and Finance, providing insight and analysis that supports key business decisions.
This is an excellent opportunity for an actuary seeking variety and the chance to develop expertise across multiple actuarial disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver actuarial analysis across Capital, Reserving, and Pricing activities.
- Work closely with Underwriting, Claims, and Finance teams to provide actionable business insights.
- Support the development and enhancement of pricing and reserving models.
- Contribute to internal capital model work and capital management activities.
- Utilize technology and data-driven solutions to improve processes and efficiency.
- Potentially provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.

Key Requirements:
- Qualified Actuary (or equivalent actuarial qualification).
- Strong experience in one or more of Capital, Reserving, or Pricing within General Insurance.
- Capital modelling experience would be particularly advantageous.
- Good understanding of reserving methodologies and pricing techniques.
- Experience with actuarial modelling and strong technical skills, including R, Python, and/or VBA.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
