What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the preparation and delivery of year end accounts across the syndicates
- Setting up the annual accounts process for the new year, rolling forward comparatives and supporting the consolidation of accounts supporting Lloyds documentation
- Spotting synergies and automation opportunities across the syndicates, building checklists and review steps so that outputs are consistent and easier to deliver
- Carrying out a full review of balance sheet accounts
- Making sure every reconciliation is properly reported, setting out its purpose, process and the minimum supporting evidence required
- Supporting regulatory year end workings, setting up robust and scalable processes where they are new and streamlining those already in place
- Reviewing the finance inputs, recommending and implementing changes that streamline and optimise the workings
- Automating production of Board and Audit Committee papers
- Fully documenting all processes, with the right controls identified and put in place

What We're Looking For

- Qualified accountant or qualified by experience within insurance with working knowledge of Lloyd's reporting requirements
- Strong documentation skills, with the ability to turn complex processes into clear, repeatable procedures
- Strong numeracy and excellent attention to detail
- Clear communication skills, comfortable working with a range of internal stakeholders
