Role
We are looking for a fixed term contractor to assist the financial reporting responsibilities of the syndicates.
Responsibilities
Year-end accounts
- Preparation work
- Coordination and completion of Managing Agents Report for both Atrium Syndicates
- Coordination and completion of Disclosures of interest relating to Annual and Underwriting Accounts
WDesk:
- S2026 Annual Accounts set up
- Implement synergies/automation across both syndicates
- Comparatives roll forward
- Schedule 3 Reporting/Annual Accounts/Underwriting Accounts consolidation work

Checklists and Review
- Consistency across syndicates and documents
- Use of copilot to aid all of the above
- Processes to be fully documented
Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Full review of all Balance Sheet accounts to identify areas to strengthen documentation/support over account balances. Key items include, but not limited to, are:
- (Re)Insurance Debtors and creditors, including controls accounts
- Technical balances (outstanding and IBNR reserves
- Loss Portfolio Transfer
- AUGOLD
- All reconciliations to be fully documented for their purpose, process and minimum level of supporting documentation
Syndicate 2026 ULAE provision assessment and preparation of accounting paper supporting the basis of calculation/provision:
- Situs year end workings (e.g. F&P and NAIC)
- Set up robust and scalable process for S2026 in its first year of Situs reporting
- Review existing process for S609. Recommend and implement changes to Streamline and optimise workings
- All processes to be fully documented with controls over process identified and implemented
Standard Formula
- Review existing process for S609. Recommend and implement changes to Streamline and optimise workings for Finance inputs

- Transition the completion of Board and Audit Committee schedules papers in from PowerPoint to WDesk
Knowledge required
- Knowledge of Lloyd’s systems and reporting requirements and understanding of the types of business transacted by a syndicate.
- Strong documentation skills
- Professional accountancy qualification
- Numeracy and excellent attention to detail.
- Communication skills.
