Syndicate Portfolio Manager
Reporting to the Underwriting Director, this role is responsible for supporting the oversight of a portfolio of syndicates.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong underwriting background who is looking to move into a broader underwriting portfolio management position, working closely with Active Underwriters, senior stakeholders and Lloyd's.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of the underwriting framework across a portfolio of Lloyd's syndicates.
- Monitor syndicate performance to create business plans, reviewing monthly and quarterly underwriting performance.
- Lead the annual Syndicate Business Forecast (SBF) process, including review, challenge and submission to Lloyd's.
- Provide oversight of underwriting controls and compliance across managed syndicates.
- Work with underwriting teams to identify performance issues and implement corrective actions where required.
- Chair underwriting discussions with assigned syndicates and lead Mid-Year Change reviews.
- Review underwriting guidelines, governance documentation and maintain comprehensive oversight records.
- Collaborate with senior underwriting, operations and new business teams on strategic initiatives and new syndicate onboarding.

- Previous experience within the Lloyd's Market, ideally with underwriting or underwriting oversight experience.
- Strong understanding of underwriting governance, controls and business planning.
- Experience reviewing underwriting performance and management information.
- Excellent analytical skills with strong Excel capabilities.
