Company Description

The rise of AI has transformed the information landscape; online disinformation campaigns and manipulated narratives - once rare or irrelevant - are now everywhere. The internet is at risk of becoming a dead zone filled with synthetic GenAI ‘slopaganda’.

Superhuman AI makes it increasingly difficult for humans to detect bots at all, so the team at Egregious have designed advanced algorithms to protect the internet from these novel threats. We are seeking a highly capable Intelligence Analyst to operate at the cutting edge of synthetic threat intelligence. This role focuses on the identification, infiltration, mapping, and intelligence extraction from coordinated AI-driven influence networks, including bot farms, synthetic personas, and automated information operations.

Due to the nature of the mission, you may be exposed to manipulative, deceptive, or distressing content.

Role Description

This role is the digital analogue of HUMINT, adapted for a world where adversaries increasingly deploy bots instead of people. You will operate within hybrid and synthetic ecosystems, embedding analytically and operationally to extract insight on intent, capability, command-and-control, tradecraft, and effect.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You will

  • Identify, map, and analyse coordinated synthetic influence networks, including AI-driven bots, automated personas, and hybrid human-machine operations.
  • Conduct deep-dive intelligence collection using OSINT, HUMINT and SOCMINT methodologies to understand bot network structure, behaviour, narratives, and amplification strategies.
  • Build and maintain persistent access to synthetic ecosystems to observe and influence network evolution over time.
  • Extract intelligence on command signals, coordination patterns, content generation pipelines, timing, and targeting logic.
  • Analyse cross-platform behaviour, identifying linkages, escalation indicators, and operational signatures.
  • Apply structured analytical techniques to assess intent, attribution indicators, effectiveness, and risk posed by synthetic influence campaigns.
  • Distinguish between organic, automated, and semi-automated activity, identifying deception, obfuscation, and evasion techniques.
  • Develop and refine methodologies for analysing non-human actors, including behavioural baselining and anomaly detection.
  • Maintain detailed analytical records, datasets, and evidential chains suitable for briefing, assessment, and escalation.
  • Produce clear, compelling written intelligence reports, including threat assessments, network diagrams, and strategic briefings.
  • Translate complex technical and behavioural findings into actionable intelligence for non-technical decision-makers.
