Systems Accountant (9-12 Month FTC)
Location: Hybrid / Remote - Travel to London required every 2 weeks
Salary: £65,000 - £85,000 + Benefits
Contract: 9-12 Month Fixed-Term Contract
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Systems Accountant to join a large listed organisation undergoing a significant finance systems transformation programme. This role will play a key part in the implementation of a new integrated pay and bill platform, acting as the link between Finance, Operations and IT teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong systems and project experience to make a tangible impact within a complex business change environment.

- Support the implementation of a new pay and bill solution and associated system integrations.
- Gather and document business requirements, translating them into effective system solutions.
- Map and improve finance processes across current and future-state environments.
- Assist with system testing, data migration and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Analyse data flows, interfaces and reporting requirements.
- Ensure robust financial controls, reconciliations and governance processes are embedded within system designs.
- Support the migration from legacy systems and associated process improvements.
- Work closely with finance, operational and technology stakeholders to deliver successful business change initiatives.

Key Skills and Experience
- Strong finance and accounting knowledge, including month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial controls.
- Experience working with ERP, finance or operational systems.
- Good understanding of system integrations, data flows and process controls.
- Advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of SQL.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades or transformation projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience using business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI.
