Role: Systems Analyst (AML)

Location: London, City - 3 days in office.
Perm salary: up to £85k
Requirements:
- Proven experience analysing complex systems within regulated banking or financial services environments, ideally supporting financial crime, transaction monitoring, or surveillance functions.
- Strong programming capability in Python and PowerShell, with experience developing automation, integration, and data processing solutions using.NET and Power BI.
- Solid data engineering background, including expertise in Snowflake, advanced SQL development, stored procedures, MongoDB, and SSIS-based data transformation processes.
- Experience designing or supporting real-time data streaming solutions using Apache Kafka, with exposure to cloud-native technologies and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Proficient in GitHub or similar version control platforms, with a good understanding of branching strategies, code management, and release processes.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments, using tools such as Jira and Confluence to support project delivery and documentation.
- Knowledge of AI and machine learning technologies, including frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and experience deploying, monitoring, and maintaining production models.
- Exposure to transaction monitoring platforms (for example, Actimize), sanctions screening solutions (such as Fircosoft), communications surveillance, or market and trade surveillance systems would be advantageous.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-focused language.
- Highly organised and proactive, capable of managing multiple priorities, meeting tight deadlines, and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
