Quality Assurance Coordinator

Reporting to the Quality Systems Manager, you will be the key link between customers, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring quality processes, compliance, documentation, and communication are managed efficiently. The role works closely with the Technical Manager UK and Vendor and Specifications Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • To support the Quality Systems Manager with delegated tasks, including data management, report writing, regulatory compliance, customer presentations, prerequisite procedures, RedZone, TraceGains, SAP, GPS, internal audits, and special projects.
  • To support the Vendor and Specifications Manager with key tasks, including finished product specifications, raw material specifications, vendor questionnaires, and vendor approval activities.
  • To support the Technical Manager in the collation of detailed KPI feedback and monthly / customer reports within a central database.
  • To ensure customer interfaces and user access platforms are managed professionally and maintained appropriately.
  • To contribute to customer audits by ensuring required documentation is available, accurate, and pre-audited where appropriate.
  • To support technical-related projects and undertake additional ad hoc duties as requested.
  • To provide general administrative support within the Technical team, including issuing and updating Technical SharePoint pages as required.
  • To undertake any other duties commensurate with the role, as assigned in line with business requirements.

Main Job Requirements

Education / Certifications

  • Diploma or Higher in a Quality Management, Business Administration, or related subject.

Desirable Job Related Experience/Skills

  • Experience working in a Technical, Quality, or Compliance Administrative support role within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and associated documentation controls.
  • Familiarity with GFSI BRC, IFS, AIB, SQMS, RBI, religious, regulatory audits.
  • Understanding of food safety systems, HACCP principles, and regulatory requirements.
  • Experience supporting specifications, supplier documentation, audits, or customer information requests.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with experience using web-based systems or customer portals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Diplomacy and strong interpersonal skills.

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient written and verbal skills and able to facilitate and present.
  • Numerical ability to record, interpret, and analyze key process data.
  • The ability to communicate targets & goals in a clear concise manner and provide space and time for colleagues to deliver against these.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels – written, verbal, facilitator, presentation.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined in work output.
  • Highly organized, logical thinker able to prioritize and plan.

Working Conditions and Physical Effort

  • Work involves light exposure to bakery ingredients, noise & extreme temperatures.

  • Periodically light physical effort is required such as standing, sitting, walking, reaching, climbing, kneeling, and lifting. Also utilizing fine dexterity, the ability to see, hear, and communicate with colleagues as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette.
  • Personal protective equipment, as defined by Guenther Bakeries, will be provided.
