Systems Engineer – Defence Technology – UK
A growing defence technology company is seeking a Systems Engineer to support the integration, deployment and ongoing support of complex technology across defence, aviation and critical infrastructure environments.
This is a hands-on, customer-facing role covering the full system lifecycle, from integration and commissioning through to operational support and optimisation.
What you'll do as a Systems Engineer:
- Integrate sensors, effectors, software, networking and operator systems into complete solutions
- Deploy, configure and commission systems at customer sites
- Conduct system integration, testing and acceptance activities
- Troubleshoot complex hardware, software and networking issues
- Provide advanced technical and third-line support to customers
- Deliver customer training, demonstrations and technical briefings
- Maintain configuration, deployment and technical documentation
- Travel regularly across the UK, with occasional international travel

What you'll bring as a Systems Engineer:
- Experience integrating complex hardware and software systems
- Experience deploying and supporting mission-critical systems
- Excellent fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
- Strong customer-facing communication skills
- Willingness to work at customer sites, including defence, aviation and critical infrastructure environments
