Systems Engineer – Defence (RF / DOORS / MATLAB)

📍 New Malden (3 days onsite)
💰 £60–£55 per hour (Outside IR35)
📆 Initial 12-month contract (extension likely)
🔒 SC Clearance required at submission

Overview

We’re working with a leading Defence & Security organisation delivering cutting-edge Naval programmes, and we’re looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to support a key long-term project based in New Malden.

This is a hands-on role focused on requirements, system design, and integration across complex systems. You’ll be working in a highly collaborative engineering environment alongside domain experts and cross-functional teams.

🔧 Key responsibilities

  • Develop and manage system requirements using DOORS
  • Define system interfaces to support design and integration across engineering domains
  • Support the full engineering lifecycle from requirements through to integration, verification, and validation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile delivery environment
  • Ensure compliance with defence engineering standards and best practices

✅ Key experience required

  • Strong background in Systems Engineering within complex environments
  • Experience using DOORS for requirement management
  • Experience working across the full engineering lifecycle
  • Comfortable working in an agile environment
  • Active SC Clearance (or recently lapsed and eligible to renew)
