Are you an experienced Systems Engineer looking to work on technology that really makes a difference?

We're partnering with a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector that is growing its team and looking for a talented engineer to help deliver some of the UK's most advanced Electronic Warfare (EW), RF communications, sensor systems, and Positioning, Navigation & Timing (PNT) solutions.

This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in the design and delivery of cutting-edge capabilities that support UK Defence and National Security programmes.

What You'll Be Doing

As a key member of the engineering team, you'll help shape complex technical solutions from concept through to delivery. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the technical authority for complex defence technology programmes
  • Leading systems engineering activities across the full lifecycle, from requirements definition and architecture through to integration, verification, validation, and acceptance
  • Designing system architectures for EW, communications, sensor, and PNT solutions
  • Providing technical leadership to multidisciplinary teams spanning hardware, software, firmware, RF, DSP, and FPGA engineering
  • Managing technical risks, dependencies, trade-offs, and key engineering decisions
  • Working closely with customers through technical reviews, workshops, and solution development activities
  • Supporting bid work, future capability planning, and business growth initiatives
  • Ensuring projects are delivered to agreed cost, schedule, performance, and quality targets
  • Contributing to trials, demonstrations, and rapid prototyping activities when required

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
