Systems Engineer - Belfast Hybrid - £36,000 + Benefits
TechOhana have teamed up with a fast-growing SaaS provider in the financial trading space to find their next Associate Systems Engineer.
If you're early in your career and want real hands-on exposure to Linux, Windows, virtualization and AWS, this is a great place to start. You'll be part of a 24/7 global team keeping a mission-critical trading platform running smoothly, with senior engineers around to guide you as you grow.
The role:
Day to day, you're the first person on the case when something breaks. You'll triage tickets, dig into login and MFA issues, keep an eye on the health of the virtualization environment, and follow the playbook for the routine stuff. When something's trickier than the SOP covers, you flag it up and learn from how it gets solved.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
