We're looking for a Systems Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure & Platform Services team, supporting secure, reliable, and modern enterprise infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and on-premises environments.
Role: Systems Engineer (Azure Infrastructure) | UK | Remote (Initial)
Location: Reading, UK (3 days onsite)
Role Type: Contract
Security Clearance: SC Clearance
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure
- Administer Windows Server and Linux environments
- Manage VMware/Hyper-V virtualisation platforms
- Support Kubernetes/OpenShift container platforms
- Monitor infrastructure performance and availability
- Troubleshoot infrastructure and networking issues
- Assist with backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity
- Contribute to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Ansible) and automation initiatives

Essential Skills:
- Microsoft Azure (AZ-900/AZ-104 preferred)
- Windows Server & Linux Administration
- Networking – TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls
- VMware or Hyper-V
- Infrastructure Monitoring & Troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Desirable Skills:

- PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus
- ITIL Foundation Certification
Experience:
1–3 years in Systems Administration, Infrastructure Support, Cloud Support, or Platform Engineering.
