Systems Integration Engineer
Frimley/Farnborough area
£400-500 per day (Inside IR35)
Full time on site
6 month contract - Initial term
January 2027 start
Graduate/Early career
Candidates must have SC Clearance or be eligible for SC Clearance

Core Duties:
- Focus on integration, functional and verification testing: Support in the integration and functional test phases within spacecraft production, working with software tools and hardware.
- Test Procedures: Collaborate with engineering teams to develop comprehensive test procedures for various spacecraft systems.
- Results Analysis: Analyse test results to identify issues, trends, and improvements, ensuring high-quality performance and reliability of spacecraft and sub-systems.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for all software tools and test procedures.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and other software developers, to ensure cohesive integration and testing processes.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during the assembly, integration, and testing phases.
- Innovation: Continuously seek and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AIT processes.

The Role Holder is Accountable for:
- Adhering to cleanroom disciplines and procedures, including ESD (Electrostatic Discharge)
- Maintaining accurate work records, documentation & traceability of products, parts & workmanship

Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Knowledge:
- Good engineering principles (requirements, plan, procedure and reports)
- Prior experience working within high-reliability aerospace environments (desirable)
- Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) processes
- Knowledge of cleanroom processes
Skills:
- Both hardware and software skills
- Willingness to learn
- Attention to detail
- Ability to grasp project execution methodologies
- Maintaining accurate work records, documentation & traceability of products, parts & test results
- Familiarity with spacecraft systems and testing methodologies is a plus.
- Knowledge or experience of programming languages and tools relevant to spacecraft testing and integration is advantageous (shell scripting, Ubuntu, Python, Java, C/C++)
