System Integration Project Lead Engineer - 37268566

£35.94/hr umbrella rate (Inside IR35)

Do you have a thorough understanding of the systems design lifecycle, from requirements definition and design reviews through system integration and assessment/acceptance? Step into a high-impact engineering role with real visibility, where your planning, coordination, and problem-solving directly help deliver customer features into vehicle programmes. This is a chance to lead system integration across cross-functional teams, drive clarity on delivery maturity, and help unblock roadblocks to achieve final sign-off. What You Will Do:

  • Lead timely delivery of vehicle features and remove integration risks and blockers for the System Integration Project Lead Engineer remit.
  • Align engineering domain delivery plans with programme milestones to keep readiness on track.
  • Drive resolution of cross-functional integration issues, ensuring effective escalation where needed.
  • Collaborate with programme planners and core engineering teams to keep plans coherent and achievable.
  • Identify and communicate dependencies, risks, and delivery glide paths that support informed decision-making.
  • Consolidate stakeholder inputs into a clear view of feature availability and maturity, reporting KPIs and risks to stakeholders.

What You Will Bring:

  • Thorough understanding of the systems design lifecycle, from requirements definition and design reviews through system integration and assessment/acceptance.
  • Demonstrated experience performing technical analysis and applying best-in-class engineering processes.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence delivery teams across engineering through clear, collaborative communication.
  • Proven ability to interpret technical data and make confident, risk-aware decisions.
  • Good working knowledge of Office 365, with comfort using modern tools to support reporting and coordination.
