Job: Systems & Network Administrator
Growing technology scale-up
Location: Belfast (Hybrid)
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000
Kura is partnering with a fast-growing tech scale-up looking for a hands-on Systems & Network Administrator to own the day-to-day running of the IT function. You'll keep devices, networks, systems and applications available, secure and well run. You'll also bring hands-on Cyber Essentials experience and lead the company through its Cyber Essentials certification, as well as supporting its ISO accreditation.
You'll work closely with the CTO, the operations team and our MSP. It's a great fit for an early-career professional who wants real ownership and room to grow as the business scales.
Your role will entail:
- Lead the company's Cyber Essentials certification: assess current controls, close any gaps and manage the submission and annual renewal
- Install, configure and maintain laptops, servers, network kit, printers, mobiles and business applications
- Manage user accounts, access control and acceptable use policies
- Provide 1st and 2nd line support, on-site and remote, across multiple sites
- Monitor system performance and availability, and track IT metrics
- Look after endpoint security, patching, backups and business continuity
- Keep the asset register accurate and handle requests for new equipment and software
- Liaise with our MSP and support IT projects, ISO accreditation and other compliance requirements

What you'll bring:
- 3–5 years' commercial IT / systems and network administration experience
- Hands-on experience implementing or maintaining Cyber Essentials, ideally taking a company through certification
- Windows, Linux and Mac desktop administration and troubleshooting
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive) and/or Google Workspace
- Working knowledge of Windows/Linux servers and Active Directory
- Solid networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, wired and wireless
- Good grasp of security fundamentals such as firewalls, patch management, antivirus, access control and email security
- A self-starter with strong attention to detail, good organisation and clear communication
