About The Role
The System Optimisation Lead (London, £680 per day, Inside IR35) is a six-month contract supporting, configuring, and refining business-critical applications across several transformation initiatives. This position focuses on maximising system functionality and value through close collaboration with stakeholders, third-party suppliers, and internal teams. Daily duties involve leading upgrades, ensuring operational effectiveness, and delivering user training alongside best-practice guidance. The successful candidate will act as a central point of expertise, bridging technical delivery and business needs. This contract suits an experienced professional skilled in enterprise platforms and stakeholder management. You will join Network IT to drive tangible improvements within a structured programme, ensuring robust performance and seamless adoption of optimised processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for system functionality, working closely with business stakeholders, third-party vendors, and internal teams to ensure systems are operating effectively and delivering maximum value.
The role will also involve providing training, guidance, and support to users and colleagues on system capabilities and best practices.
Main Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation, configuration, and ongoing support of enterprise systems and applications.
- Perform system upgrades, updates, patching activities, and configuration changes to ensure platforms remain secure and optimised.
- Act as the technical subject matter expert for assigned systems, providing guidance and best practice recommendations to stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve system issues across both front-end and back-end environments.
- Liaise directly with third-party vendors and software providers to manage incidents, resolve technical issues, and maximise system functionality.
- Review and optimise system performance, configurations, workflows, and integrations to improve user experience and operational efficiency.
- Support testing activities, including system, integration, user acceptance, and post-implementation testing.
- Deliver training, coaching, and user support to colleagues and business users to improve adoption and utilisation of system functionality.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, technical teams, suppliers, and programme delivery teams.
- Provide regular reporting, updates, and management information to stakeholders and project teams.

Essential
- Experience in organisational design, transformation, or change.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technology-driven change or large-scale system implementations.
- Experience delivering user training, coaching, and guidance on system functionality and best practices.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
