At ADM Protexin, we develop innovative, research-driven probiotic solutions that support human and animal health worldwide. From our Somerset site, we manufacture and distribute high-quality products to over 90 countries, combining scientific excellence with a strong commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
We are now looking for a proactive and detail-oriented QA Systems Officer to play a key role in strengthening and evolving our Quality Assurance systems. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment where your ideas and expertise will directly influence product quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
What you’ll be doing
In this varied and high-impact role, you will:
- Own the customer complaints process end-to-end, driving effective investigations, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement through trend analysis and COPQ tracking
- Support supplier quality management, ensuring issues are thoroughly investigated and resolved in collaboration with partners
- Lead the internal audit programme, working cross-functionally to ensure compliance with cGMP, FSSC 22000, FEMAS, UFAS and BETA NOPS standards
- Contribute to supplier audits, helping maintain a robust and compliant supply chain
- Perform batch release activities, including batch record review and Certificate of Analysis administration
- Own TACCP & VACCP processes, identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies to protect product integrity
- Deliver QA training, supporting new starters and building strong quality awareness across the site
- Support cross-functional projects, embedding quality into every stage of development and operations
- Track and report quality KPIs, using data to drive informed decisions and continuous improvement
- Enhance QA systems, working closely with the QA Systems Manager to evolve processes and improve performance

What we’re looking for

- Experience in a Quality Assurance role within food, feed, pharmaceutical or a similar regulated environment
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and CAPA
- Proven internal auditing capability
- Confident communicator, able to engage and train others effectively
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable working with data and identifying trends
- Strong IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Qualifications
- Degree, HND or HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in QA
- Knowledge of cGMP and/or ISO standards (desirable)
