Security Systems Engineer – Intruder Alarms, CCTV & Access Control
Worcestershire or Gloucestershire | Field-based
Salary: £35,000 per annum + company vehicle, fuel and benefits
Sophisticated security systems. Prestigious homes. A role where your expertise and customer service make a difference.
Do you take pride in solving technical problems, delivering quality workmanship and giving customers peace of mind?
Pertemps is recruiting for a long-established security systems specialist with access to modern cloud-based and integrated security technology through its wider business.
We’re looking for a Security Systems Engineer based in Worcestershire to deliver tailored security solutions, with a particular focus on private homeowners and high-value homes with advanced security requirements.
This is a customer-facing, business-to-consumer role. Alongside your technical skills, you’ll need the professionalism, discretion and personal approach to build trust when working in someone’s home.
The opportunity
You’ll install, service and commission security systems, resolve technical issues and help homeowners feel confident using their equipment. Each property brings different requirements, making this an appealing opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and takes ownership of their work.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
