A leading global systematic investment firm is seeking a Trading Platform Engineer to join its highly regarded Systematic Technology team. This is a unique opportunity for a Trading Platform Engineer to work at the heart of a sophisticated, data-driven trading business, supporting the critical technology platforms that underpin large-scale global trading activity.
As a Trading Platform Engineer, you will partner directly with Traders, Quantitative Researchers, and Software Engineers to ensure the firm's low-latency trading platform remains stable, resilient, and highly performant. Sitting in a front-office environment, you will play a key role in monitoring production systems, responding to live trading issues, improving observability, and driving automation across a complex trading ecosystem. This role is ideal for a Trading Platform Engineer who enjoys solving real-time problems, working on business-critical systems, and taking ownership of platform reliability. You'll gain exposure to the full trading lifecycle while helping shape the operational tooling, monitoring frameworks, and support processes that keep the platform running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide production support for a high-performance electronic trading platform
- Monitor system health, trading workflows, and platform behavior in a live trading environment
- Investigate and resolve production issues affecting trading, market data, and platform services
- Partner closely with Traders, Quantitative Researchers, and Developers to support front-office activity
- Drive incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews
- Improve monitoring, observability, telemetry, and alerting capabilities across the platform
- Build automation and operational tooling to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency
- Support production releases, deployments, and platform changes
- Analyse system performance, workflow exceptions, and data quality issues
- Contribute to the ongoing reliability, scalability, and operational maturity of the trading platform

Requirements
- Experience as a Production Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, Trading Support Engineer, or Trading Platform Engineer
- Strong Linux systems and troubleshooting expertise
- Experience supporting business-critical production environments with a strong sense of ownership
- Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, alerting, and incident response
- Scripting or automation experience using Python or similar technologies
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with front-office stakeholders
- Experience within trading, systematic investment, market data, or other real-time environments is highly desirable
