Job Title: Systemic Anti Cancer Therapies Treatment Scheduler

Contract Type: Permanent

Main Duties of the Job

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team in systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT) treatment scheduling at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust.

The Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapies Treatment Scheduler role sits within cancer care and is responsible for scheduling treatment for patients receiving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood products, and oral systemic anti-cancer therapies. This role covers scheduling treatment appointments, clinical reviews, and transport where necessary. The post is integral to the patient's treatment pathway, helping to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

This role works closely with the wider multidisciplinary team across cancer care and the wider organisation.

Detailed Job Description and Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling patients through the entire treatment pathway, ensuring a seamless and planned approach. To answer any queries from patients and carers with a patient and sympathetic approach. To organise and prioritise referrals to the service from clinical staff.

Person Specification

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience

Essential criteria

  • Level 3 qualification in administration/customer service or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of: E-CaMIS, CaMIS eDMS Aria, and Mosaic or similar hospital-based systems.
  • Recent experience of working in a busy office environment, preferably within a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Ability to learn and assimilate information quickly.

Desirable criteria

  • Experience of working in a large NHS hospital.
