Job Title

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys working at the intersection of finance, systems, data and process improvement. The role will act as the key link between Finance and Transformation teams, helping drive better use of technology, improve reporting capabilities and deliver automation across the finance function.

Our client is a large, private equity-backed UK infrastructure and environmental services business currently investing heavily in technology, data and operational transformation.

Description

  • Act as the finance systems lead, driving the optimisation of D365, Power BI, reporting tools and finance-owned data solutions.
  • Partner with Finance, Technology and Transformation teams to improve processes, automate activities and enhance reporting capabilities.
  • Support system enhancements, upgrades and integrations, ensuring finance requirements are captured, tested and successfully delivered.
  • Improve data quality, reporting visibility and business insight through effective use of data and self-service reporting tools.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation and emerging technologies to increase efficiency across the finance function.
  • Maintain and enhance reporting models and dashboards, ensuring they remain accurate, controlled and fit for purpose.
  • Contribute to month-end and core accounting activities while supporting financial controls and governance requirements.
  • Provide guidance and support to finance users, driving adoption of new tools and best practices across the function.

Profile

A successful Systems Accountant should have:

Must Have

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
  • Strong finance systems experience
  • Stakeholder management across multiple functions
  • Process improvement and automation experience

Job Offer

  • Salary between £60,000 and £65,000, dependent on the level of experience.
  • Performance-based bonus of 10%-14%.
  • 7% pension contribution with cashback options.
  • Flexible working arrangements - two days per week in West Bristol area.
