SYSTEMS ACCOUNTANT – MEDIA
WOKING - 3 DAYS OFFICE / 2 DAYS FROM HOME - 12m FTC - A finance systems role with real scope to learn and grow - Potential for temp to perm
£55,000 - £60,000
Are you a finance systems specialist who can sit between finance and a technical team and hold your own with both? Do you like owning the detail, knowing what a system should do, spotting when it doesn't, and driving the fix?
We Do Group are hiring a Systems Accountant for a well-established media business, to take ownership of finance systems within a busy team. You'll be the key link between Finance and the D365 technical team, making sure Microsoft D365 and connected tools do what the business actually needs.
There's a clear backlog of changes to work through and a significant project to get the invoice automation tool in accounts payable working as it should. This is a hands-on role for someone who's done this before and can step in with minimal handholding.
WISH LIST
- A strong finance systems background, comfortable owning issues end-to-end with little oversight
- Confident pushing back on both finance and technical teams, able to say when something doesn't look right and explain why
- A logical, analytical approach to systems, with the judgement to know what's feasible and what isn't

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
