Your new company

A global business leader is seeking an experienced Systems Accountant to support the ongoing stabilisation and optimisation of the finance function following a major Oracle implementation. Operating across multiple international locations, this organisation offers the opportunity to work with senior finance stakeholders and play a key role in driving process improvement across a complex accounting environment.

Your new role

You will play a pivotal role in supporting the stabilisation and continuous improvement of the finance function following a major Oracle implementation. Combining strong technical accounting expertise with a process improvement mindset, you will review and analyse end-to-end accounting processes, identifying risks, inefficiencies and opportunities for enhancement.

  • Work closely with finance stakeholders across the UK, Switzerland and the USA
  • Investigate and resolve complex accounting issues, including accruals, reconciliations, outstanding balances and period-end matters
  • Support month-end close activities and operational accounting processes
  • Document and standardise finance procedures
  • Strengthen controls and governance frameworks
  • Drive process simplification, automation and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform root cause analysis
  • Implement sustainable solutions
  • Help develop Oracle-aligned future-state finance processes that improve efficiency, transparency and accountability across the organisation

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified Accountant or qualified by experience with extensive Oracle expertise and a proven background in accounting process improvement.

You will ideally possess:

  • Strong Oracle Fusion Financials knowledge, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets and Cash Management
  • Experience with Oracle Project Costing and Project Financial Management
  • Strong project accounting knowledge, including accruals, reconciliations and financial reporting
  • Significant month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation experience
  • Proven ability to investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies
  • Experience identifying process inefficiencies and implementing sustainable improvements
  • Strong understanding of accounting controls, governance and risk management
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across Finance, Accounting and IT teams
