Meraki Talent are supporting with the appointment of a permanent Systems Accountant Analyst based in Edinburgh, paying up to £58,000 plus strong bonus potential, excellent hybrid working and a great wider benefits package.

This is a hands-on role sitting within the Finance Systems team, responsible for improving the efficiency, accuracy and reliability of the organisation’s financial systems and processes.

Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team, the successful candidate will work closely with Finance, Technology and wider stakeholders to deliver system improvements, upgrades, automation and finance transformation projects.

The key components of the role will include:

  • Managing, maintaining and improving the organisation’s core financial systems
  • Leading finance system upgrades, testing, releases and implementations
  • Reviewing finance processes and identifying opportunities for automation and continuous improvement
  • Improving interfaces, forms, controls and procedures to increase efficiency and data quality
  • Diagnosing and resolving finance system and process-related issues
  • Supporting finance projects and wider digitisation initiatives
  • Delivering systems training to both finance and non-finance stakeholders

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified/Part-Qualified Accountant through ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent would be desirable
  • Experience delivering finance system upgrades, implementations or process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to confidently train and support finance and non-finance users
