Systems Analyst – Finance, Technology & Automation
London | Permanent | Office Based
Are you an early-career Accounting or Finance graduate who has realised your future might be in technology rather than traditional finance? We are looking for a bright, technically minded individual who wants to combine their understanding of finance with technology, automation and business transformation.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and building practical technology solutions that make a genuine difference to a business.
The opportunity
You will work closely with business users to understand operational challenges and help translate them into practical technical solutions.
You’ll have the opportunity to:
- Design and develop applications that improve business processes and efficiency
- Build and deploy solutions using Microsoft Azure
- Use Python or another programming language to create practical business applications and automations
- Identify manual or inefficient processes and find ways to improve them through technology
- Maintain, support and enhance existing applications as well as help develop new solutions
- Work directly with users across the business to understand requirements and solve operational problems
- Help introduce appropriate controls, documentation, development standards and governance around applications and automation
- Take ownership of projects and see the direct impact of your work

What we’re looking for
Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
- A genuine desire to move away from a traditional finance career and into technology, automation and business transformation
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including building and deploying solutions
- Programming capability, ideally using Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- The ability to communicate comfortably with both technical and non-technical colleagues
- A proactive, curious approach and a genuine interest in financial services and technology
- The confidence to take ownership and operate in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly

This role could be particularly attractive to someone who has a strong grounding in finance but finds themselves increasingly drawn towards coding, AI, cloud technology and automation. You don’t need to have followed a traditional technology career path — what matters is that you can demonstrate practical technical skills, intellectual curiosity and the desire to build a long-term career combining finance and technology.
