Company description

Nottingham Community and Voluntary Service (NCVS) is a long-established local infrastructure organisation supporting Nottingham’s voluntary, community and social enterprise sector. We exist to support organisations, strengthen the VCSE sector, connect sectors together and improve outcomes for Nottingham communities through collaboration and community development. Our work includes volunteering, sector support, networks, research and insight, place-based programmes, training and consultation, community engagement and strategic partnerships.

Role description

We’re looking for a Systems and Data Manager to help strengthen how NCVS uses its systems, data and digital infrastructure. This is a full-time, hybrid role, with a Nottingham City office base and flexible home working. You’ll lead the development and day-to-day management of our information systems and data processes, helping to ensure they are secure, reliable, accessible and fit for purpose.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role includes:

  • managing and improving databases, CRM systems and other organisational systems;
  • supporting good data quality, governance and compliance;
  • developing effective data collection, reporting and insight;
  • producing dashboards and reports to support decision-making and demonstrate impact;
  • identifying opportunities to improve systems, processes and workflows;
  • helping colleagues use systems and data confidently and effectively;
  • working across teams to understand information needs and develop practical solutions.

This is a role for someone who can combine technical understanding with practical problem-solving and good communication – someone who can see both how systems work and how people actually use them.

What we’re looking for

You’ll bring experience in areas such as:

  • data management, analysis and reporting;
  • databases, CRM or case-management systems;
  • data governance, data protection and confidentiality;
  • improving systems, processes and workflows;
  • explaining technical information clearly to non-technical colleagues;

Experience of working in the VCSE, public or community-focused sector would be useful, as would experience with platforms such as CiviCRM or Plinth and managing websites or digital communications platforms.

A relevant qualification in information systems, data management, IT or a related area is welcome, but equivalent professional experience is equally valuable.
