DataAnnotation is looking for an experienced biologist

DataAnnotation is looking for an experienced biologist to design biology problems that today's leading AI models still get wrong. Models routinely propose experiments without proper controls and draw conclusions that the data doesn't support. You bring the subject knowledge to catch these errors, and the tooling to prove them.

This is a new and growing area for our company, focused on teaching AI to reason correctly rather than plausibly. The work combines deep biological knowledge with strong coding skills: you design, test, and validate complex tasks yourself. Your task and your solution become the ground truth a model is scored against, so accuracy is the entire job.

Advantages Of Contracting With Us

  • You will be able to choose which projects you want to work on and when
  • You work on your own schedule, on your own computer, from the comfort of your own home
  • Get access to projects at $40-$125 USD per hour, with bonuses on high-quality work

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Responsibilities

  • Design complex biology tasks in your area of expertise
  • Define what a correct answer looks like and the standard a model has to meet
  • Test and validate the task yourself before you submit it
  • Write a step-by-step solution another researcher could reproduce
  • Design tasks a model cannot solve by replaying a known answer, and flag where its biological reasoning breaks: missing controls, misread data, incorrect mechanisms, unsupported conclusions
  • Work across computational biology, bioinformatics, genomics, systems biology, and quantitative biological workflows
