Systems Coordinator - Quality & Compliance
Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire
Salary: Up to £25,235
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
A leading technical testing and consultancy organisation is looking for a Systems Coordinator to join its Furniture and Floor Coverings teams.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous Quality, Compliance or QMS experience who enjoys working with processes, documentation and detail.
You'll play an important role in maintaining and developing the quality management and health & safety systems across the business areas, helping ensure that testing activities continue to meet the required standards and accreditation requirements.
The Role
Working alongside experienced technical and management teams, you'll receive full training before taking responsibility for a range of quality and compliance activities.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate quality-related records and documentation
- Managing calibration and equipment maintenance records
- Completing risk assessments and supporting technical assessments
- Assisting with measurement and uncertainty calculations
- Coordinating check testing and trial participation
- Supporting preparation for annual UKAS audits
- Organising audit documentation and evidence
- Supporting accreditation scope extensions where required
- Assisting with the creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures
- Maintaining training and competency records
- Purchasing and verifying standard materials
- Completing COSHH documentation where applicable
- Supporting Health & Safety compliance across the departments
- Working with managers and technical teams to identify and implement improvements

About You
We're looking for someone who is highly organised, accurate and comfortable working within structured quality systems.
You will ideally have:
- A-Level Maths or equivalent
- Previous experience working within a Quality environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- The ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions accurately
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- The ability to work independently and manage changing priorities
- A methodical and reliable approach to work
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
Experience with ISO 17025, ISO 9001, QMS, quality control or quality assurance would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and previous experience working within a regulated or technical environment would also be beneficial.
