About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Developer to join our Member Services team based in Chesterfield. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the configuration, support, and ongoing development of the IntelliPen Pensions Administration platform. Reporting directly to the Senior System Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with internal teams, third-party partners, and stakeholders to drive system enhancements that align with business objectives. Your expertise will ensure the platform remains robust, efficient, and capable of delivering exceptional service to our members. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in pensions administration systems, a passion for problem-solving, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will demonstrate a solid background in supporting and developing defined benefit pensions administration systems. Essential qualifications include a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with extensive hands-on experience in system configuration and development. Proficiency in SQL and a deep understanding of complex data queries are required. Candidates should have prior experience working with the IntelliPen platform or similar pension administration systems. Strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously are vital. Familiarity with change management processes, testing strategies, and system governance standards is also essential. A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of technological advancements will distinguish the right candidate.

Responsibilities
- Support the design, development, and enhancement of IntelliPen platform functionalities, including workflows, reporting, document generation, member portals, calculations, and integrations.
- Provide expert technical support to development teams and operational staff, resolving day-to-day incidents and complex system issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with internal change management and project teams, as well as external partners, to deliver system improvements that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the QA Lead to develop and execute comprehensive testing strategies, ensuring high-quality, reliable system releases.
- Partner with the Senior Service & Support Administrator and Development Manager to plan development roadmaps, manage sprint activities, and support a continuous delivery environment.
- Produce detailed development reports and analyze platform performance, demonstrating the impact of enhancements and supporting data-driven decision-making.
- Ensure all development activities adhere to industry standards, governance policies, and compliance requirements to maintain system integrity and security.
- Take ownership of solution design and implementation, providing technical leadership and mentoring colleagues to build system development capabilities across the organization.
